Microsoft Made A Camera App For The Iphone Better Than Apple Did
Microsoft just made an app that is probably the easiest camera app ever made for the iPhone and the iPad. Of course, it is very bold of Microsoft to claim that but there is some substance behind the claim. The app is called Microsoft Pix and we’ve been testing the app since it launched and it hasn’t disappointed us.
You can take an image and much like the Prisma app, Microsoft uses artificial intelligence to adjust the settings that fit best for the picturesque scene. The app is not as complicated as the native app since there are no additional settings like the HDR mode or any complicated exposure settings. In fact, the app encourages you to just point and shoot and the app takes care of the processing.
According to Microsoft, Pix will take pictures as if they were taken and edited by a professional photographer. And I tend to agree with this claim as it does a very good job.
Pix is capable of taking shots before and after you take the shot and keeps the best photos and deletes the rest so that it does not eat up all of your memory. Since there are no settings to adjust, it automatically selects the best pictures for you and is very accurate in doing so. The application can also identify motion and stitches images together to create a looping video much like the Boomerang app. The app is also capable of creating hyper-lapse videos which make it an all-rounder app for photography.
Pix is availabe for the iPhone and iPad here (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id1127910488).
